Code that cares—
for people and planet.
At FlawlessCode, sustainability is not a department. It is the operating system behind every workspace decision, every benefit, every cup of coffee. We align our practice with the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals and design daily life around them.
Three letters.
One way of working.
Environment
Energy efficiency, water conservation, low-impact technology, sorted waste, indoor plants, daylight design, and a building that thinks before it heats or cools.
Social
A workplace built around people: paid holidays at the sea, sports and culture, ergonomic furniture, eye-friendly lighting, fresh fruit, honey, and slippers at the door.
Governance
ISO 9001 and ISO 27001 certified processes, transparent leadership, and a public commitment to the UN Sustainable Development Goals at the company's highest level.
The Sustainable Development Goals we live by.
We map our internal practices to nine of the seventeen UN SDGs. These are the goals where FlawlessCode contributes directly, every working day, in every office.

for the Goals
Resources are finite.
We design as if they are.
Every office practice we adopt is measured against a single question: does it reduce our footprint or extend the life of what we already have? From watering plants with yesterday's coffee grounds to running on recuperated air, our workspace is engineered for circularity.
Water conservation
Low-flow fixtures and a culture of mindful use. Every drop saved is a contribution to SDG 6 — Clean Water and Sanitation.
Electricity efficiency
Energy-efficient hardware, low-consumption lighting, and devices powered down when idle. SDG 7 — Affordable and Clean Energy in daily practice.
Waste sorting
Paper, plastic, glass, organic — separated and recycled at the source. Responsible consumption embedded in everyday office life.
Indoor plants & coffee-ground composting
Our offices are filled with greenery — not just for aesthetics. Plants improve air quality, lower stress, and reduce screen fatigue. Spent coffee grounds are collected and returned to the soil of our office plants as natural fertiliser. Nothing wasted, everything cycled.
Aquariums in the workplace
Our offices feature aquariums with live fish. Research consistently shows that watching fish reduces blood pressure, anxiety, and mental fatigue. They are calming, beautiful, and a quiet reminder that we share this planet.
Company bicycles for city errands
Need to reach a client across Maribor, a meeting in the centre, or simply the post office? Our team uses company-owned bicycles for short urban trips. Zero emissions, faster than parking, and a small but consistent contribution to SDG 11 — Sustainable Cities and Communities.
Time away.
Time together.
A sustainable company is one whose people are sustained. We invest in rest, in shared experience, in moments of culture and adventure that no salary can replace. Below is what every member of the FlawlessCode team can expect, every year.
Seven days at the seaside — fully covered
Every employee is offered a free, fully paid week at the sea each year. Rest is not a perk — it is part of the job.
Cultural life & concerts
We sponsor team attendance at concerts and cultural events. Curiosity beyond code is what makes great engineers.
Annual karting competition
Once a year, the entire company laces up for a friendly karting championship. Adrenaline, laughter, and a trophy nobody refuses.
Hiking in the Pohorje hills
Organised hikes through the Pohorje highlands — Maribor's green backyard. Fresh forest air, light cardio, and the kind of conversations that only happen on a trail.
Rafting on the Mura river
A team-bonding tradition: descending Slovenia's gentle giant, learning to row in sync, finishing the day around a shared meal.
Recreation in nature
We actively promote outdoor activity all year round, because the best ideas tend to arrive somewhere between two trees.
People are the true infrastructure of any company.
FlawlessCode's social programme is built on the conviction that a rested, healthy, culturally engaged team produces work no overtime culture ever could. We invest in this on purpose, and we measure it.
The eight hours in between.
Most of life happens at work. So our office is built to feel less like a workplace and more like a healthy second home — from the slippers we change into at the door to the matcha on the counter.
Indoor slippers at the door
On arrival, we change from street shoes into indoor slippers. Cleaner floors, less dust, less noise — and the small physical signal that you have arrived somewhere where you are looked after.
Fruit, honey, teas, cocoa, matcha
A continuously stocked kitchen with fresh fruit, local honey, a wide selection of teas, real cocoa and ceremonial matcha. Hydration and nutrition that supports thinking, not crashes.
In-office sports equipment
Hand strengtheners, resistance bands, neck-and-shoulder release tools — kept within arm's reach for short physical breaks between sprints.
Ergonomic chairs
Every workstation is equipped with a fully ergonomic chair, adjustable to posture, height and the long working hours that knowledge work demands.
Eye-friendly lighting
Our offices use specialised low-flicker, full-spectrum lighting designed to be as kind to the human eye as possible over long sessions in front of screens.
The building is part of the team.
Office architecture is rarely treated as a sustainability lever. We treat it as one of the most important. Air, light, temperature, and the devices we use are all chosen to minimise impact on both the planet and the people inside.
Latest low-impact technology
We deploy the newest generation of hardware specifically chosen for its minimal radiation profile, low energy consumption, and reduced material footprint. Cutting-edge does not have to mean high-impact.
Heat recovery (recuperation)
Our ventilation runs through a heat-recovery (recuperation) system that recycles warmth from outgoing air, drastically cutting heating energy while keeping indoor air consistently fresh.
Natural sunlight
Workstations are positioned to maximise exposure to natural daylight — the single most powerful regulator of circadian rhythm, mood, and focus.
Eco heating & cooling
Optimal, climate-aware heating and cooling: temperatures are tuned for comfort while minimising energy spend, with smart scheduling for unoccupied hours.
Aligned with UN 2030
Every measure in this section maps directly to SDG 7 (clean energy), SDG 11 (sustainable cities), SDG 12 (responsible consumption) and SDG 13 (climate action).
Sustainability is not what we say.
It is what we do every day.
