Synchronising fleet management in construction
Technological developments in the construction sector are opening great opportunities. Our aim is help our clients stay on top of these changes by making the best of these opportunities. We have developed a proprietary implementation of fleet management and GPS tracking system designed for specific needs of our clients.
Thissoftware aims to provide complete control over a fleet of construction machinery, which includes planning of operations for individual vehicle in a fleet, ability to remotely monitor vehicle’s activities and ability to retrieve past activity reports, on which the billing of services is based. The information system is designed as a B2B web portal that takes full potential of advantages of web 2.0 technologies and open-source Java frameworks.
Our particular contributionto the project includes the following activities:
- Development of new features of the web solution with accordance of user’s requirements and wishes.
- Maintenance of the JSP-based solution and removal of detected bugs that could hinder users from using the solution or posing a security risk.
- Customizing and adjusting solutions to various access channels. Our focus was primarily set to providing access to the system from various mobile devices.
- Monitoring and maintenance of the infrastructure on which the solution is running. The key objective of infrastructure management is to ensure the maximum system availability and avoidance of potential data loss. The solution runs on Tomcat web server and MySQL database.
